From the end of September to mid-October this year, the typhoon “Hongxia” caused flooding in various parts of Cambodia, and Phnom Penh was also affected, especially the southwestern part of Phnom Penh. According to the information of the Tuanhua School, we learned that many teachers were affected by the disaster. Our Tuanhua School Alumni Association was the first to show their condolences and donate funds to express their gratitude, hoping to share some of the urgent needs of the teachers.

In October 2020, the board of directors of TUAN HOA School Alumni Association, represented by Ms. Zhang Xueying, Mr. Jiang Junliang, and Mr. Chen Yaode, went to the flooded southwestern part of Phnom Penh City (the area along Yongsheng Road) to conduct condolences and visited Mr. Wang Hong, Teachers Qin Youwen and Teacher Xu Sue. In the course of the action, we can feel the teachers’ difficulties during the typhoon, water and power outages, and water life. Fortunately, the teachers have moved to a safe place to live. May the disaster end soon and normal life will resume.

Caring for Duanhua’s elderly teachers is the mission of our TUAN HOA Alumni Association, and we will continue this work unremittingly. Thanks to all the people in the society for their support to Duanyouhui! At the same time, we invite everyone to participate in our Duanyou Association to strengthen our Duanhua family and benefit the society.
