Our Direction
“To unite the alumni of TUAN HUA School, carry forward the great traditions of the alma mater, and promote academic and cultural exchanges. Encourage alumni to actively develop their knowledge obtained from the alma mater, enhance exchanges and cooperation among alumni, and contribute to local economic development and social progress.” is the purposes of TUAN HOA School Alumni Association of Cambodia.
TUAN HOA School Alumni Association of Cambodida, referred to as “TUAN HOA Alumni” or “DuanYouHui”, is a social welfare organization organized by the previous TUAN HUA School students’ joint organization. The main purpose is to unite the Chinese community, feed back to the society, and develop together with the TUAN HUA School.
As the name implies, it is a student organization of the TUAN HUA School. TUAN HOA Alumni is centered on “TUAN HUA” community, serving the school, the Chinese and the society. Of course, the reason why TUAN HOA Alumni Association can run so far is because of the support financially and mentally of the supporters and senior from vary sectors in Cambodia society, especially the Federation of Khmer Chinese in Cambodia, and the Association of Chinese Teo Chew in Cambodia.
Once again, thanks to the support from all sides of the society, the icon design of our Association is designed around this concept, that the shape of the eight hands surrounds the word “Tuan（端）”, which refer to “TUAN HUA”, means they need the support form everyone in or the to sustain and give back to society.
The TUAN HUA School first appeared in 1910 and came out in the form of “public supervision and private operation”, that is, privately-run schools under public supervision. The “Public Tuanhua School” was established in 1941 and has a history of nearly a hundred years. It has always been to the top Chinese schools in Cambodia. The students are scattered all over the world, and the stars are in full swing. Many successful entrepreneurs with social influence in Cambodia have been cultivated. At present, there are over thousands of students studying in Duanhua School.
After the establishment of the Association of Chinese Teo Chew in Cambodia, the board of directors of TUAN HUA School was formed to take charge of the school’s work. Mr. Li JinShan（李金山）was the chairman, and Mr. Te MeangHuot（郑棉发） and Mr. Zheng RongJi（郑荣吉） were the vice chairman. In April 1997, the Second Association of Chinese Teo Chew in Cambodia was established, and the original board of directors was changed to the Cultural and Educational Group, with Mr. Heng HangMeng（黄焕明）as the group leader, and Mr. Chen PingChuan（陈平川） and Mr. Zheng RongJi（郑荣吉） as the deputy group leaders. TUAN HUA School is miraculously moving forward under the leadership of the successive councils and cultural and education groups of Association of Chinese Teo Chew in Cambodia.
Association of Chinese Teo Chew in Cambodia has devoted a lot of effort to TUAN HUA School. Now, in the blueprint of Association of Chinese Teo Chew in Cambodia, plans to establish the third site of TUAN HUA School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It intends to become the largest multilingual education institution in Cambodia and even all ASEAN countries, and to continue TUAN HUA’s brilliant performance in Cambodia society.
How to join the TUAN HOA Alumni?
All the teachers, students, staff, and major contributors to TUAN HUA become members of the Alumni by default. For people who graduated or left school with any reason wish to continue the membership of TUAN HUA Alumni will be required to pay annual membership fee, for the reason that we are a non-profit organization, we need to charge annual fee, which will be used to support the daily operation, or in various social-benefit works.

The purpose of our association is to carry forward the charity and selfless spirit of our Chinese community and overseas Chinese community, and contribution to society. Becoming a TUAN HUA Alumnus can effectively obtain the dynamic information and resources of our Chinese society. Members can speed up the exchange of Chinese news through this platform. We will try our best to provide corresponding assistance to the members. With your support, our Tuan Hua Alumni Association is becoming more and more sophisticated and powerful. We are aiming to provide members with a broader and more information network, unite the Chinese community in Cambodia, and create more advantages.
